Microchip Technology AVR32DD and AVR16DD 8-Bit Microcontrollers are based on the AVR® CPU with a hardware multiplier running at clock speeds up to 24MHz across the full supply voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V. The AVR32DD and AVR16DD MCUs are designed to bring real-time control and multi-voltage operation to applications, including industrial control, home appliance products, automotive, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
The AVR32DD and AVR16DD MCUs use Core Independent Peripherals (CIPs) with low-power features and 5V operation for increased noise immunity. The Multi-Voltage I/O (MVIO) design allows safe bi-directional communication with systems running at different voltages. These MCUs include an Event System, Configurable Custom Logic (CCL), and intelligent analog peripherals like 12-bit differential ADC, Zero-Cross Detect (ZCD), and a 10-bit DAC. These features, together with the MVIO, make these devices well-suited for sensor applications, IoT end nodes, and other applications where signal conditioning or level-shifting is needed.
The Microchip Technology AVR32DD and AVR16DD MCUs are offered in 14- and 20-pin packages, with up to 32KB of Flash, up to 4KB of SRAM, and 256 bytes of EEPROM.
The AVR DD MCUs are Functional Safety Ready and suitable for safety-critical applications targeting industrial and automotive products (IEC 61508 and ISO 26262).
